Lent is the season leading up to Easter, historically recognized by Christians as a time of preparation, fasting, and prayer.
The hope is to more fully experience and celebrate Jesus’ Resurrection because of the intentional period of reflection leading up to it. As a church, Kensington doesn’t hold an Ash Wednesday service (seen as the first day of Lent), but we do believe that this is a special season to personally seek God, along with millions of Christians around the world and throughout the centuries.
