School Partners

It’s one volunteer, one student, one staff member, one connection, one opportunity of sharing the love of Jesus that creates hope

Why School Partners?

We get to be the hands and feet of Jesus and share His love in our local community with the students, teachers and staff of our partner schools. These are the ones who are feeling unseen, alone, and discouraged. Whether it is reading with a student, helping a student with math facts, volunteering with a classroom teacher, sending a staff member a note of encouragement, or rotating with students in the Kaleo Kids program, one-by-one it makes a difference. The student who feels invisible is seen. The teacher who feels she is all alone has support. The staff member who thinks nobody cares about him feels appreciated. One-by-one, when we connect with a student, a teacher or staff member, it can impact a person, a class, a school.

Come Serve With Us

Is God prompting you to serve with students and staff at one of our schools? There are lots of ‘no experience required’ ways you can serve regularly or occasionally as an individual, family, small group or business in one of our partner schools. (see box below for ideas) Contact us, we’d love to have a conversation with you to understand how we can connect you with one of our schools.

Some Ways We Serve

Many of our partner schools don’t have room moms or active parent groups that provide the extra support opportunities and encouragement. Kensington volunteers can make a difference by hosting a class holiday party, being a guest reader, helping coach a sports team, working with students in a community garden, providing staff hospitality, shopping for special school projects and encouraging staff members (Intentional Acts of Love).
