Troy KKids Coordinator

Description

The KKids Coordinator will be there to help with curriculum/activity prep throughout the week for Toddlers- Grade 5, assist in room preparation and set up, as well as be there to assist and be a floor lead on Sunday morning.

Position Requirements

Qualifications

1. Education: Undergraduate degree preferred, especially in the areas of education/child development or children’s ministry.
2. Experience: Working in children’s ministry in a local church or Para church organization with a proven ability to lead volunteers and build teams. Curriculum experience.
3. Requirements: Passion for children and families. Membership at Kensington Community Church. Affirmation of the mission, values, and beliefs of Kensington.

Responsibilities

  • Curriculum and Activity Preparation: Collaborate with the Kids Director and Volunteer Development and Groups Director to prepare and organize curriculum materials for Toddlers through Grade 5. Assemble activities, ensure all materials are available and in good condition, and prepare any necessary resources for weekly lessons.
  • Room Preparation and Setup: Assist in setting up classrooms and activity areas, ensuring they are ready for Sunday services and other scheduled events.
  • Sunday Morning Support: Serve as a floor lead on Sunday mornings, providing support to volunteers and addressing any immediate needs or issues that arise. Ensure all classrooms and activity areas are fully staffed and running according to schedule. Volunteer Assistance: Support and assist volunteers in their roles, provide feedback and relay any volunteer concerns to the Kids Director or Volunteer Development and Groups Director.
  • Program Coordination: Assist with the coordination of special events and activities as needed, including holiday programs and outreach events.

• Attend and participate in Staff meetings.

Navajo Nation

House of Joy is Kensington’s newest Global Partner located in Black Mesa, Arizona near Kayenta on the Navajo Nation Reservation. Pastor JR founded the House of Joy and serves the Diné  people (pronounced Di-Nay in the Navajo language and means “the people”) both locally on Black Mesa and throughout the reservation. Pastor JR is leading a movement and seeing lives transformed through his church, the food bank, and service projects completed in partnership with visiting mission teams.
