At A Rally Against Female ‘Circumcision’

FGM does not exist just because of male dominance and cultural practices, including child marriage. It continues because of women. Women are the cutters. It doesn’t make sense in my brain. It’s hard to fully grasp, but the horrors of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) exist in the Pokot region of Kenya for two reasons: men […]

In Nepal: Experiencing God’s Greatness

Q: Why did you decide to go? A: When I heard that this trip would be about empowering other women, I was sold. I instantly responded within minutes. It was like my entire body was responding to the ask and it would have been blasphemous to do otherwise. With that said, once I found out […]

Goodbye, Jaya

Jaya died. I was on my second day of a silent retreat when I got that two-word text from a friend, and everything went sideways. Our friend Jaya had died – suddenly – and the news opened an unwelcome and still-not-understood space in my heart and life. It often takes me a bit to really […]

Many Nations

Kensington’s passion to equip churches worldwide and to love our neighbors everywhere are things that are very personal for me. My parents are from Syria and Iraq respectively. I was born in Kuwait. My family is part of the remnant Christian population which has dwindle to less than 3% in the Middle East. Migrating to […]

My Move Out Story: Welcoming Afghan Refugee Families

As we have come to know and love this family from halfway around the world, we have come to realize that God’s love has no barriers other than the ones we create. At Kensington, we talk a lot about loving our neighbors down the street and our neighbors halfway around the world. Sometimes that’s not […]

Quitting Corporate, Gaining More

Staff Members Share Their Stories: When we were young children and asked what we wanted to be when we grew up, our answers seemed magical – there was potential in our dreams and we believed in the idea of work being deeply fulfilling. Somehow along the way, many of us end up settling – whether […]

My Move Out Story: Warming the Homeless

Terri doesn’t do this because she has to or she should, it is life-giving to her. “Serving is a huge blessing!” she says. She encourages others to get up and move out to meet needs – “you’ll find love for these people you didn’t even know you had.”

A Move Out Story: Living An Unselfish Life

Andrew Kelly spent the first 37 years of his life without investing a single day serving others. He felt isolated and disconnected from the rest of the world around him. But that all changed when he found his fulfillment and purpose in serving others.

We are here to support you and encourage you through the process; whether you are a walker, a runner, a cyclist, a volunteer or “outside the box” fundraiser – you are moving out and we appreciate
you!

YOU are changing lives! As a team, we come together to train, to volunteer and to support and encourage one another. We participate in events through the year and we raise awareness of the need for clean water. Your fundraising helps to build wells that impact the lives of the Pokot.

So your next step depends on what you want to do and how you want to step out!

A great first step is to join our mailing list to stay up to date on all our events and opportunities to jump in!

Next, visit our events page for upcoming opportunities to jump in. Sign up’s will be made available as we get closer to event dates and will be posted on the event page and emailed to our community.

And most important, setup your fundraising page! Whether you walk, run, cycle or volunteer – everyone can participate in fundraising.

And last, connect with us. Follow us on social media and join us on our mission to provide clean water!
