The Poetry of Easter

How do we feel it anew when the elements are the same every year? The angry mob, the beatings, the Cross, the Resurrection. I don’t want my brain to just understand the progression of events, I want my heart to feel it. Somehow, writing creatively and poetically gets my heart more involved – it feels […]

Easter Makes Me a Poet

Somehow, writing poetry gets my heart more involved – it feels vulnerable and messy and grappling, but right when it comes to the topic of Easter. The elements are the same every year: the angry mob and religious elite, the beatings, the Cross, Jesus’ death, and then His resurrection on the third day. I don’t […]

Is Lent Still Relevant Today?

For you, maybe Lent kicks off the hype and excitement surrounding Easter, or maybe Lent is a time for fasting and sacrifice. Or maybe you’re sitting there thinking, “What is Lent anyway, and why is it a big deal?” Wherever you fall on the Lenten spectrum, I think I can shed some light on why […]

Waiting For Easter

Good Friday is a day of deep reflection and struggle for me. After all, this day was wrought with STRUGGLE, and as I try to process it all I’m filled with sadness and questions. I prefer skipping to the good part…to Sunday, to resurrection, to hope! But God doesn’t rush the Resurrection. There is real […]

Wait, What’s Lent? Am I Too Late?

I saw someone with ashes on their forehead in the grocery store, and I realized that it must be Ash Wednesday – the first day of Lent – but our church doesn’t do an ashes service, so what do I do about Lent? Tardy to the Lenten Party? Weeks have gone by, and the vague […]

Is All This Possible?

When investigating Jesus, what is at stake? The answer is: everything. Everything is at stake. It’s too important not to decide for yourself what the truth is.

Jesus, Politics and Protests

Are you feeling frustrated, confused, and angry? Me too. It’s never ok to talk about God and politics with people (oops), but right now, political conversations seem to be especially frustrating and emotional. All we can see right now are two parties, two platforms, two perspectives. But what if we are missing something? What if […]

What Does It Mean To Be On The Team?

We are grateful for you and your decision to be a part of the Hope Water Project community! Together, we can change lives!

We are here to support you and encourage you through the process; whether you are a walker, a runner, a cyclist, a volunteer or “outside the box” fundraiser – you are moving out and we appreciate
you!

YOU are changing lives! As a team, we come together to train, to volunteer and to support and encourage one another. We participate in events through the year and we raise awareness of the need for clean water. Your fundraising helps to build wells that impact the lives of the Pokot.

So your next step depends on what you want to do and how you want to step out!

A great first step is to join our mailing list to stay up to date on all our events and opportunities to jump in!

Next, visit our events page for upcoming opportunities to jump in. Sign up’s will be made available as we get closer to event dates and will be posted on the event page and emailed to our community.

And most important, setup your fundraising page! Whether you walk, run, cycle or volunteer – everyone can participate in fundraising.

And last, connect with us. Follow us on social media and join us on our mission to provide clean water!
