We love our kids, and we want to give them every chance to connect with God!

Babies and toddlers receive nurturing care and have fun activities in a safe and loving environment. Preschoolers and elementary kids participate in high-energy music, creative lessons and games, and have tons of fun learning about Jesus.

We Partner with Families

We believe that the parent(s) have more impact on their children’s spiritual development than any other person, church worker or teacher ever could. In fact we estimate that on average a child will attend our program for 25 hours a year. Compare that number to the 3,000 discretionary hours that parents have available to spend with their children. Who has the greater opportunity to steer a life? Therefore, we want to do whatever we can to help equip, resource and support parents to be the primary spiritual leaders in their homes.

What to Expect on the Weekend

We hope children know what it means to follow God and pursue him with all their heart, soul and mind. Each hour that your children are in our program they experience relevant Bible teaching from our staff and volunteer teachers. Your children will get to know kids in the same age group and learn to pray and worship God as a natural overflow of their love for God.

How do I check my kids in?

If you are registered you will see your name pop up after you enter the telephone digits. Tap that icon and then click on your kids that you want to check in for that service. A sticker will print out for each of your children.

For campuses without automatic check-in, the process is still simple. Go to one of the Kensington Kids Welcome Centers. You will receive a temporary parent/child sticker set for the day, specific to your family only.

How do I know my kids are safe?

When your children receive a sticker or tag, the parent will also receive a sticker tag. On the parent sticker/tag there is a number that corresponds to a number that is printed on your child’s tag. When you come to pick up your child, one of the adult volunteers in the room will cross check your number with your child’s number. These two numbers match so that we know this is your child, and it prevents any other adult from taking your child out of the room.

Baby Dedications & Baptism

This is a ceremony for parents to publicly make a commitment before their friends and family to raise their children in a home where God is at the center. This is often your family’s first spiritual milestone with the church and our goal is to help you make it meaningful and memorable.

We offer ceremonies on a regular schedule at each campus. Before signing up for a ceremony we ask that you attend a Parent Class that will help you understand why we do both baptism and dedication here at Kensington, as well as giving you everything you need to prepare for the ceremony.

Family Baptism Class

Have a child in grades K-5 (age 10 and under) who wants to be baptized? Your first step is to assess their spiritual readiness. Second, we'll ask you and your child to attend a Family Baptism class in preparation for the event. Contact the Kensington Kids Directors at your campus with questions and for readiness guidelines and class date and time info.
