We love our kids, and we want to give them every chance to connect with God!

Babies and toddlers receive nurturing care and have fun activities in a safe and loving environment. Preschoolers and elementary kids participate in high-energy music, creative lessons and games, and have tons of fun learning about Jesus.

The separate and secured kids’ area is limited to parents-only for drop-off and pick-up. Other than parents, children, and staff, no one else can enter. Upon arrival, parents get a tag at the welcome desk with a number, which matches the number of their child. There is always a 2:1 adult to child ratio.

While children’s programming is offered and encouraged, little ones are welcome to join families in the auditorium for the main service as well. Kensington also offers a nursing mother’s room for a quiet place for mothers and their young ones.

December 15 | birth-grade 5

Kids K-grade 5 will learn about joy in the midst of hardships or bad days. We acknowledge the diversity of problems kids can experience, but they have Jesus with them through it all. God sent his son to be with them in the good times and the bad!

December 22-24 | birth-preK

Kids K-age 5 are encouraged to join their families at Christmas services, which is designed for the whole family to experience together.

For children 2 to 5 years old, a special Christmas program has been designed just for them. They will hear the Christmas story through the eyes of animals, engage in kid-friendly Christmas worship music, take part in a dance party, and make a fun Christmas craft! Led by trained staff and volunteers, the program taps into the kids’ excitement for the holiday to help them understand that Jesus is the best gift they will receive this season.

Our birth-2-year-olds are sung to, read to, held, and offered age-appropriate, Christmas-themed play.

Baby Dedications & Baptism

This is a ceremony for parents to publicly make a commitment before their friends and family to raise their children in a home where God is at the center. This is often your family’s first spiritual milestone with the church and our goal is to help you make it meaningful and memorable.

We offer ceremonies on a regular schedule at each campus. Before signing up for a ceremony we ask that you attend a Parent Class that will help you understand why we do both baptism and dedication here at Kensington, as well as giving you everything you need to prepare for the ceremony.

Family Baptism Class

Have a child in grades K-5 (age 10 and under) who wants to be baptized? Your first step is to assess their spiritual readiness. Second, we'll ask you and your child to attend a Family Baptism class in preparation for the event. Contact the Kensington Kids Directors at your campus with questions and for readiness guidelines and class date and time info.
