CARE AT KENSINGTON
Sometimes we need a helping hand, a shoulder to lean on, or a listening ear
At Kensington, we don’t pretend life is easy, and you don’t have to pretend you have it all together. We all go through hard times and need the support of others.
If you’re overwhelmed and need someone to talk you through your next steps, call a Campus Care Provider at the Help Bank.

Sometimes We Need More Than A Friend
We need a knowledgeable guide to help us through our situations. Someone we can trust to give us godly insight and advice.
Sometimes, when facing hard times, tough decisions, or stressful circumstances in our lives, investing in counseling is our best option. We believe Jesus is at the center of working through the healing process, but that process can be helped by an educated trained professional. Whether you need help in your marriage, parenting skills, workplace, or personal life, look at the list below for the counselors we know and trust.
We have selected counselors in the community who we believe will provide wise care and counsel to you.
Counselors We Trust
Before making a final decision on a counselor, we encourage you to interview more than one person so that you can find the most appropriate counselor for you. Attaining counselor information from this site acknowledges the release of liability from any claim, or litigation whatsoever involving Kensington Church.

Loss is always devastating; and there are new, especially painful circumstances as people have experienced sudden loss and have not been able to say goodbye or hold a traditional funeral. Whether due to COVID-19 or other reasons, if you've lost a spouse, child, family member or friend, it may be hard to feel optimistic about anything.
Grief Recovery, a study to guide you through grief and loss, is open to all. Each session is led by people who have experienced it themselves and includes a video seminar featuring interviews with top experts in the field, along with small group discussion. While you are encouraged to start the seminar at the beginning of the session, you may start the group at any time during its course.
Online via Zoom | Starting Monday Sept 21 - Dec 21 | 7-9pm | FREE
Our dedicated volunteers bring encouragement and prayers of faith to those who are in local hospitals, medical centers, recovery centers and homebound. If you or someone you know would like to be blessed by such a visit, email [email protected] or call the Troy Campus during business hours at 248-786-0600.
You don't have to go through the pain and stress of divorce or separation alone. Our Divorce Recovery workshop combines expert speakers, small group discussion and a time of community with people on the same journey.

Pastoral Care Team
Members of our Pastoral Care Team are trained by the nationally known Stephen Ministry program and are compassionate listeners who walk alongside others to provide skilled and distinctly Christian care in times of need. They can't promise to have all the answers, but they can promise their focused support. To receive care from one of our Pastoral Care Team members, call us at 248.786.0600 and ask for a Campus Care Provider - they can get the process started.

Help Bank | Campus Care Providers
When crisis hits, your first point of contact is a Campus Care Provider. Our goal at the Help Bank is to support people through the rough spots in life by sharing information and resources about our ministries at Kensington and those available in the community. Call a Campus Care Provider Monday-Friday between 8am-4pm, and we will listen, encourage, and connect you with help. Whether it’s talking you through a tough decision or providing your family with an emergency food box, we’re ready to help.
If you need help during a weekend, visit one of our campuses and connect with our campus prayer team or stop by the Hub to talk with someone.
