CARE AT KENSINGTON
Sometimes we need a helping hand, a shoulder to lean on, or a listening ear
At Kensington, we don’t pretend life is easy, and you don’t have to pretend you have it all together. We all go through hard times and need the support of others.
If you’re overwhelmed and need someone to talk you through your next steps, call a Campus Care Provider at the Help Bank.

Tatiana leads worship onstage with beautiful authenticity; by sharing her story, she hopes to also lead others into healing.
Celebrate Recovery
At Kensington, we offer a safe space for healing called Celebrate Recovery. Over half of those who attend are addressing issues like wounds from the past, relational pain and broken trust. Read more below under Recovery for the Whole Family.
RAINN.org

Sometimes We Need More Than A Friend
We need resources and guidance to help us through – someone we can trust to give us godly insight and advice. When facing hard times, tough decisions, or traumatic circumstances, we need the help of others.
Trauma Resources
Between the pandemic and school violence, we’ve all been through a lot. And there are personal forms of trauma too. We have gathered videos and resources from national experts to help you navigate trauma in your own life and as you guide your children.
Trauma ResourcesCounselors We Trust
It may also be time to invest in personal counseling. We believe Jesus is at the center of working through the healing process, but an educated, trained professional can help. Whether you need help in your marriage, parenting skills, workplace, or personal life, consider this list of local counselors we trust.
Before making a final decision on a counselor, we encourage you to interview more than one person so that you can find the most appropriate counselor for you. Attaining counselor information from this site acknowledges the release of liability from any claim, or litigation whatsoever involving Kensington Church.

Pastoral Care
Pastoral Care Team
Members of our Pastoral Care Team are trained by the nationally known Stephen Ministry program and are compassionate listeners who walk alongside others to provide skilled and distinctly Christian care in times of need. They can't promise to have all the answers, but they can promise their focused support. To receive care from one of our Pastoral Care Team members, call us at 248.786.0600 and ask for a Campus Care Provider - they can get the process started.
