Faith and the Family | Raising Godly Girls
Tuesday, Dec. 1 | 8:30-9:30pm
If you’re a #girlmom or #girldad, you know it can be equally messy and beautiful at the same time. Not only did God give girls two X chromosomes that make them uniquely different than boys, but he also created them in His image, clothed in strength and dignity (Proverbs 31:25).
As parents of faith, we want nothing more than our girls to be unscathed by societal pressures and challenges. But instead, we are finding ourselves praying for the wholeness of their tender hearts, which are being crushed by comparison, body image and things of this world.
In the third Faith & Family event from Kensington’s Kkids teams, we are tackling the topic of Raising Godly Girls.
Jill Cascone, Clarkston Campus Director, is leading a discussion alongside other parents as we seek God in:
- Understanding His unique design for girls – the good, bad and ugly. What are their strengths, what’s normal in adolescent development and what does scripture tell us about their unique wiring?
- Strengthening our communications skills that lead to fruitful and respectful conversation – from an adolescent development and behavioral expert.
- Rooting our girls strong in their identity as daughters of King!
