Orion Campus Reception/Events Coordinator

To apply for this part time; 20 hrs/week position please send cover letter and resume to HR@kensingtonchurch.org.  Must be flexible to work two 6 hr days at Orion Campus during the week from 9AM – 3 PM and Sunday’s during services at the Campus.

Position Description: There are three primary roles within this position:

  1. Receptionist @ 2 days (12 hour) recommended 9am-3pm. Create a warm, welcoming & inviting atmosphere at the Reception Desk for all who enter Kensington throughout the day, as well as those who call on the phone.
  2. Campus Events Coordinator – Plan and execute Campus events/special events. Hours are flexible depending on the day and time of the events.
  3. Campus Team Support (Sundays), support Greenroom as needed, coordinate swag sales or any other special offering.

Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma required; College degree desired.
Experience: Administration experience, working knowledge of various computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Database programs.  Ability to learn new technology quickly a must.   Demonstrated ability to build volunteer teams.  Project Management experience helpful.
Membership at Kensington Community Church or in process.  Affirmation of mission, values and beliefs of Kensington Community Church.

Responsibilities reception:

  • Provides a welcoming and inviting atmosphere at the Reception Desk:
  • Organize and maintain the Reception Desk supplies and campus office equipment:
  • Assists Ministry’s and staff with clerical tasks
  • Maintains regular communication with Associate Campus Director

  • Event Planning/Sunday Campus Support:
