Troy Facilities Coordinator

Description

Keep the building in clean and in orderly condition. Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, deep cleaning of bathrooms, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Set up meeting rooms with tables and chairs which includes moving heavy furniture. Duties may include tending to HVAC, performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of need for repairs, and cleaning snow or debris from walkways. Duties may also include leading and directing workers assigned to the Facilities Department. Must have and maintain a valid Michigan driver’s license

Position Requirements

Qualifications

1. Education: Associates degree preferred or high school diploma.

2. Experience/Expectations: General knowledge of building custodian/housekeeping work and related equipment; interpersonal skills; oral and written communication skills; ability to operate, care for and perform minor maintenance on tools and equipment used in daily work; some ability in simple record keeping.

3. Requirements: Affirmation of the mission, vision, values and beliefs of Kensington

Responsibilities

1. Coordinate and prepare for events of the facility.

2. Clean and maintain all areas of the facility.

3. Take care to maintain all equipment.

4. Assure fire and emergency equipment is properly functioning.

5. Work closely with manager to assure the facility has all supplies and equipment needed.

6. Work safely as not to do harm to yourself or others.

7. Maintain good working relationship and attitude with co-workers, staff, volunteers and guests.

8. Participate in required staff meetings.

Navajo Nation

House of Joy is Kensington’s newest Global Partner located in Black Mesa, Arizona near Kayenta on the Navajo Nation Reservation. Pastor JR founded the House of Joy and serves the Diné  people (pronounced Di-Nay in the Navajo language and means “the people”) both locally on Black Mesa and throughout the reservation. Pastor JR is leading a movement and seeing lives transformed through his church, the food bank, and service projects completed in partnership with visiting mission teams.
