Clarkston Campus Production Director

Come be a part of the movement of Jesus through Kensington Church as a member of the Clarkston Campus staff, leading the production team. Partner with the Campus Worship Arts Director to provide vision and strategy for the continued development and implementation of the technical arts at Clarkston Campus. You will be responsible for executing weekend services with a team of volunteers that you will recruit, train, and schedule. You must be an experienced live audio engineer and have working knowledge of lighting and video systems and entertainment rigging.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelors degree preferred, or other equivalent experience

Experience: Experience in audio, lighting, and video systems and their implementation. Experience leading people and resources to accomplish the production needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead volunteers in complete setup, operation, and tear down of large format audio, lighting and video systems for weekend services in a portable church setting (currently a Jr High auditorium) and provide support and trouble shooting for smaller portable systems in kids spaces.

Must be a skilled and experienced audio engineer and be well versed in digital audio systems including digital consoles (Yamaha, Allen & Heath), digital audio protocols (Dante), digital snakes, advanced EQ functions, dynamics and effects, channel and bus patching, A/D and D/A conversions, virtual racks, personal mix systems (Aviom, LiveMix), and more.

 Must be well versed in concert and theatrical lighting systems including digital lighting consoles (Vista), DMX control and addressing, sACN and ARTNet systems, LED and theatrical incandescent fixtures, remote dimmer systems, recallable scenes, effects, lighting and color for camera, and more.

Must have a general knowledge of entertainment rigging and structural engineering as it pertains to weight loads and safety procedures for hanging production equipment, as well as experience with scissor and boom lifts.
Must have working knowledge of video systems including projectors, screens, switcher, scalers, routers, converters, cameras, HD-SDI, and ProPresenter, basic non-linear editing software, video over IP, aspect ratios, frame rates, video codecs/wrappers, and more.

Actively recruit, train, and schedule volunteers for weekend production roles. Invest in building a strong team culture and carry the vision and values of the arts and production at KCC.

Work directly with the Campus Worship Arts Director on all weekly service needs, including stage diagrams, input lists, equipment needs, lighting design, stage props, and video support. Provide support for other campus technical needs as possible.
 
Work with central production directors to maintain the campus production budget and the campus production systems and equipment as part of the greater KCC production department.
 
Participate in a monthly KCC all staff meetings. Participate in all necessary campus meetings.  Participate in the arts and production team meetings/initiatives.
 
Participate as a member of the greater KCC Production Team. Attend meetings, retreats, trainings as required.  Availability for working central KCC events when required.

This position requires a strong work ethic, flexible hours, excellent time management, quick-thinking, ingenuity, on-your-feet trouble shooting, strong interpersonal skills, a teachable spirit, a willingness to always be learning and adapting, the ability to laugh and have fun, and the humility to admit faults and mistakes.
