Israel & Palestine

A place of faith.
A place of conflict.

Although few in numbers, believers in the Holy Land are boldly proclaiming Jesus and showing His love by caring for needs across religious and cultural divides. Our long-time partnership with Immanuel Evangelical Church encourages and resources Pastor Nihad and his congregation to continue to build the Church in the place where it all started.

AREAS OF IMPACT

Immanuel Evangelical Church, our partner in the Holy Land, is focused on building God’s Kingdom in this part of the world fraught with tension and rich in history. Immanuel works to plant new churches, train disciples, and support camps and youth programs that are bringing the good news of Jesus to the younger generation.

MOVEMENT IN ISRAEL & PALESTINE

SHORT-TERM TRIPS

We are passionate about coming alongside our Global Partners in the work that they are doing for God's Kingdom. Short-term trips allow us to move out beyond our four walls as the hands and feet of Jesus. Our teams that visit the Holy Land have the opportunity for vivid, hands-on experiences that make the Bible to come to life; and they have the unique opportunity to encourage and speak life into the local Church that faces ongoing hardships.

church planting

Pastor Nihad and Immanuel Evangelical Church have been intentional about planting churches in villages north of West Bank. During the recent conflict between Israel and Palestine, with people facing war-time devastation, fear, and desperate need, Immanuel is resourcing those new church plants as they intentionally support the people in their communities – caring for all kinds of needs in Jesus' name.

DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING

Just as Kensington hopes to make disciples that make disciples, Immanuel Evangelical Church is focused on "back-to-basics" discipleship: prayer, bible reading, obedience, and sharing gospel. In this way, a disciple practices a rhythm of devotion, the Holy Spirit does the inner work, and it happens in the context of community with other disciples. The result? Mature and grounded disciples ready to make more disciples of Jesus Christ.

RETREATS

Having the time and space to experience Jesus in a new way is often a turning point in one's faith journey. Immanuel Evangelical Church continues to invest in the family and the next generation through children's bible camps, youth campus, women's retreats, and a men's retreats. All giving individuals the opportunity to "hear the voice of the Father," shared Pastor Nihad.
