Loving Others is Loving God

At Kensington, we believe that to love God means we love others – even those halfway around the world. To date, we have developed ongoing partnerships in ten different countries meeting the spiritual and physical needs in their own communities.

our global initiatives

NoChild Sponsorship Program

We believe that no child should die from hunger and disease. Kensington’s grass-roots sponsorship program has brought food, healthcare, education, and the hope of Jesus to more than 5,000 kids in Kenya, India, Nepal, and Brazil.

Hope Water Project

We’re passionate about bringing water to Kenya! Imagine all the life-changing things possible when clean water is accessible: community development!, school, church, health and so much more. Help us bring HOPE!

Brazil

Brazil is the largest country in South America, and its most populace city, São Paulo, is the largest city in the Americas. That’s why we’ve partnered with Centro de Treinamento para Plantadores de Igrejas (CTPI) since 2015 to reach the [one] in Brazil. CTPI is bringing the gospel message of Jesus to a country steeped in spiritism and superstition.

Dominican Republic

For reasons of safety, this partner must remain unidentified. They plant churches all around the world – even in places where the Gospel of Jesus is considered off-limits or illegal.

India

Since 2000, Kensington has partnered with Christ’s Evangelical Mission in Dowlaiswaram, India. Together we have provided medical care, education, teaching and Bible training, given care to widows and orphans, and helped to spread the hope that comes with the message of Jesus Christ to these marginalized people.

Israel/Palestine

Although few in numbers, believers in the Holy Land are boldly proclaiming Jesus and showing His love by caring for needs across religious and cultural divides. Our long-time partnership with Immanuel Evangelical Church encourages and resources Pastor Nihad and his congregation to continue to build the Church in the place where it all started.

Kenya

Since 2003, Kensington has partnered with Pokot Outreach Ministries (POM) to reach the Pokot people of western Kenya. Together, Kensington and POM are committed to a holistic ministry that aids in both physical and spiritual needs. There are estimated to be over one million Pokot, living in some of the harshest conditions on earth, but we consider them to be family.

Navajo Nation

House of Joy is Kensington’s newest Global Partner located in Black Mesa, Arizona near Kayenta on the Navajo Nation Reservation. Pastor JR founded the House of Joy and serves the Diné  people (pronounced Di-Nay in the Navajo language and means “the people”) both locally on Black Mesa and throughout the reservation. Pastor JR is leading a movement and seeing lives transformed through his church, the food bank, and service projects completed in partnership with visiting mission teams.

Nepal

Independent research indicates that 25,000-35,000 girls are trafficked each year from Nepal to India to work in brothels within India and throughout the Middle East. Kensington is partnering with a local NGO to rescue girls being trafficked and to transform communities with the gospel.

South Sudan

Over the past 20 years, Julius Murgor and the Pokot Outreach Ministries (POM) have raised up hundreds of pastors and church leaders to reach the Pokot tribe in Kenya. One of those young men trained by POM is Reuben Meriakol. After attending seminary in Kenya, Reuben helped to start a dozen churches in Kenya and Uganda. Feeling a calling from God on his life, Reuben and his wife Loice moved to South Sudan to begin a ministry to the Toposa tribe. Much like the Pokot, the Toposa live in a harsh region plagued by a 20 year civil war, lack of water, and basic medical services.

The Timothy Initiative

Jesus invites us to be part of changing the world! When He commanded us to “go and make disciples of all nations” (Matt 28:19), He was asking us to share His message of love and hope with anyone and every[one]. That means we plant churches all around the world – even in places where the Gospel of Jesus is considered off-limits.
