Clinton Twp KKids Tech Coordinator

Campus: Clinton Township

Manage and oversee technical functions for all KKids activities, including weekend services and other ministry special events, such as training and volunteer appreciation.  Work with the KKids tech team to ensure all KKids technical needs are met in ways that align with overall strategies of Kensington.  Stay up-to-date on new technologies that will support and enhance the KKids program. 

Recruit, train and shepherd volunteers to serve in technical roles in KKids.  Build teams to provide set-up, support, operation and tear-down of technical equipment.

Closely partner with KKids Creative Program Director to integrate tech into Large Group.

Clinton Twp KKids Nursery Coordinator

Campus: Clinton Township

Coordinate and oversee all nursery functions at Clinton Township Campus.  Direct, develop, support, and shepherd nursery caregivers and helpers for weekend services; abide by nursery policy and standards.

Education
: High School Diploma. 
Experience: Hands-on experience with infants and young toddlers; experience in recruiting, leading and shepherding a team or small group. 
Requirements: Ability to manage multiple tasks, enjoy infants and young children, administrative skills, ability to lead teams of adults and youth helpers, gift of shepherding, skilled at team building; gifts of service, shepherding, encouragement helpful. Affirmation of the mission, vision & values of KC.

Recruit, train, support and shepherd volunteer caregivers.  Ensure that the Nursery policies and procedures are clearly communicated to weekend volunteers.  Provide feedback and meet individually with volunteers as necessary.  Pray for and with volunteers.  Help build community between volunteers by encouraging them to pray for one another.

Oversee the Nursery for the weekend services.  Schedule volunteer caregivers for the weekend services and provide reminder calls, emails or letters as appropriate.  Monitor caregivers to ensure excellence of care.  Perform set up and teardown of Nursery room(s) and ensure that volunteers have the supplies and equipment necessary to meet the needs of the children at each service.

Participate in volunteer development and recognition opportunities.

Must be available to work Sunday's at Clinton Township Campus.

Responsible for the execution of the campus weekend services, and all other high-profile campus events.  Recruit teams to accomplish all artistic needs for each event.  Work closely with other campus arts directors to develop strategies for artistic, spiritual, and organizational development. Highly skilled worship leader in the style of Passion City Church, Northpoint, Elevation, Hillsong, Bethel, etc. Proficiency on at least one musical instrument. Strong vocal ability. Proven leader, team builder and people developer. “Nice to have” skills: Proficiency in Planning Center Online. Past success in managing and leading employees. Proficiency with Photoshop and Google Docs. A STRONG work ethic, positive attitude and “get it done” mindset.

Lead and develop the technical arts director and service coordinator so that the three of you work seamlessly implementing the weekly service vision.

Develop worship leaders that match the style and quality expectations of Kensington.

Lead worship regularly on weekends. Become the face of worship at the Campus.

Develop cohesive bands each week with stage presence and the skill necessary to lead the church toward powerful worship moments.

Traverse City KKids Elementary Coordinator

Campus: Traverse City

Coordinate and oversee all functions of Elementary small group development at KCC campus. Direct, develop, support and shepherd SG leaders. Ensure that small groups are running smoothly, that small group objectives are met, and that relationships are forming.

Develop large group teachers, create set design and environment, and integrate technology.

Qualifications: 
Education:  High School diploma
 
Experience:  Participation in small group, experience in leading and shepherding a team or small group.
Requirements:  Ability to manage multiple tasks, enjoy children, administrative skills, ability to recruit, lead, develop teams of adults and youth volunteers, gift of shepherding, skill at team building.

Responsibilities: 
Recruit, train and shepherd team of Small Group leaders for weekend services. Provide them with weekly curriculum and work alongside them. Encourage, have conversations with, pray for, send recognitions to, meet one on one for interviews, challenge them spiritually, and ensure that there’s spiritual care and accountability.

Evaluate the effectiveness of small groups by monitoring the interaction of the group and providing feedback to the leaders.  Ensure that the curriculum is understood and implemented. Email leaders weekly for connection and curriculum updates.  Place children into groups or remove them as needed throughout the year. Follow up with phone calls if child has missed four consecutive weeks. Keep Arena updated with groups and leaders. Ensure small group rooms are set-up and torn-down. Be a good steward of resources.

Develop, train, and encourage existing volunteer teachers, and recruit new ones for Large Group lesson. Observe volunteer teachers and offer feedback. Build teams to help with set design and create irresistible environments. Prepare props, characters, videos,  and tech needed for large group lesson.

Participate in all required staff meetings which include:  one on one meetings with KKids director, age-aligned meetings (will interface with curriculum manager regarding small group activities), KKids campus team meetings, KKids all-staff meetings, and KCC all-staff meetings.

Participate in volunteer development and recognition opportunities as determined by own initiative as well as opportunities set as KKids departmental objectives (e.g. volunteer training night, volunteer celebration, campus events, leadership development events).

Assume any other duties or responsibilities as directed by KKids director (e.g. Christmas, Easter, & summer programming)

Director of Young Adults (1829)

Campus: All

This person is responsible for the discipleship of young adults, primarily in their post-high-school but not yet 30-years-old phase of life. The aim is to create a catalytic movement among young leaders who desire to see every[one] transformed and mobilized by Jesus. This Director works with existing groups that have a similar passion to encourage the lordship of Jesus Christ in the lives of these world-changers. With an eye toward leadership development, this Director will be a catalyst for generating a pipeline of individuals that will populate the churches both inside and outside the movement of Kensington around the world as well as share Christ with their circle of influence. They will utilize current groups and events to create a new movement.

Character:  Demonstrate the qualities of a follower of Jesus Christ, with a passion to love God, live in community with those in the body of Christ and extend the love of God to those seeking Him.  Show a strong commitment to living out the values of Kensington.

Qualifications:

  • Education:  Bachelor’s degree required; Masters degree preferred
  • Experience: Five years plus in a local church, non-profit or other setting that shows demonstrated ability to disciple young adults. Experience Speaking to groups of 250+.
  • Affirmation of Kensington’s mission, values and beliefs.

Responsibilities (priority order): 1.    Discipleship:  The chief aim of this work is create a movement of young adults that produces disciples who produce disciples within the framework of Kensington Church. 2.    Attraction & Connection: In social settings, events, and gatherings, this person will create atmospheres where this age group wants to connect, engage and invite others.  As time, resources and gifted leaders emerge these events can grow in their size, scope and reach. The desire is move from periodic events to a more consistent gathering place of over 1000 young adults where 50% are connected to our groups strategy. 3.    Leadership Development:  The principle strategy is to reproduce other leaders – this job will entail formal and informal leadership development to fulfill the needs of the age group as well as the pipeline for Kensington’s broader vision – new movements, churches and impact here and around the world. 4.    Strategic Linkage with Existing Ministries: Connecting with other branches of Kensington that are developing emerging leaders is a must.  This currently includes the Internship Program, Campus Small Group Leadership and the discipleship group movement at Kensington.  There may be other connections with outside groups; area schools & universities, YWAM, New Life, Spring Hill and others that tend to cultivate young adults in Christian leadership. 5.    Partnership with Like-Minded Leaders:  A number of leaders at Kensington represent existing ministry to 20-somethings in small groups homes, and organic discipleship relationships.  Identifying and partnering with those “doing the work of ministry” already is encouraged to create buy in, movement and unity.

Orion Facilities Coordinator

Campus: Orion

Keep the building in clean and orderly condition.  Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, deep cleaning of bathrooms, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.  Set up meeting rooms with tables and chairs which includes moving heavy furniture.  Duties may include tending to HVAC, performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of need for repairs, and cleaning snow or debris from walkways.  Duties may also include leading and directing workers assigned to the Facilities Department.  Must have and maintain a valid Michigan driver’s license. Maintain good working relationship and attitude with co-workers, staff, volunteers and guests. Must have flexibility and be available to work nights and weekends.
Education: Associates degree preferred or high school diploma. Experience/Expectations:  General knowledge of building custodian/housekeeping work and related equipment; interpersonal skills; oral and written communication skills; ability to operate, care for and perform minor maintenance on tools and equipment used in daily work; some ability in simple record keeping.

Troy Facilities Team Leader

Campus: Troy

Keep the building clean, safe and in good repair.  Perform all duties of the Facilities Building Coordinator including all cleaning and set up procedures.  The Facility Team Leader must have a thorough understanding of all aspects of the building and Coordinator staff activities.  Must have open availability.  Conduct weekly, monthly and semiannual inspections and follow up on all areas that are found to be deficient.  Proactive approach to the position is required to anticipate the needs of the people utilizing the facility.  Excellent communication between the position and the Facility Director and Campus Director is required. Maintain good working relationship and attitude with co-workers, staff, volunteers, guests, and outside vendors.
