Clinton Twp KKids Tech Coordinator

Campus: Clinton Township

Manage and oversee technical functions for all KKids activities, including weekend services and other ministry special events, such as training and volunteer appreciation.  Work with the KKids tech team to ensure all KKids technical needs are met in ways that align with overall strategies of Kensington.  Stay up-to-date on new technologies that will support and enhance the KKids program. 

Recruit, train and shepherd volunteers to serve in technical roles in KKids.  Build teams to provide set-up, support, operation and tear-down of technical equipment.

Closely partner with KKids Creative Program Director to integrate tech into Large Group.

Clinton Twp KKids Nursery Coordinator

Campus: Clinton Township

Coordinate and oversee all nursery functions at Clinton Township Campus.  Direct, develop, support, and shepherd nursery caregivers and helpers for weekend services; abide by nursery policy and standards.

Education
: High School Diploma. 
Experience: Hands-on experience with infants and young toddlers; experience in recruiting, leading and shepherding a team or small group. 
Requirements: Ability to manage multiple tasks, enjoy infants and young children, administrative skills, ability to lead teams of adults and youth helpers, gift of shepherding, skilled at team building; gifts of service, shepherding, encouragement helpful. Recruit, train, support and shepherd volunteer caregivers.  Ensure that the Nursery policies and procedures are clearly communicated to weekend volunteers.  Provide feedback and meet individually with volunteers as necessary.  Pray for and with volunteers.  Help build community between volunteers by encouraging them to pray for one another.

Oversee the Nursery for the weekend services.  Schedule volunteer caregivers for the weekend services and provide reminder calls, emails or letters as appropriate.  Monitor caregivers to ensure excellence of care.  Perform set up and teardown of Nursery room(s) and ensure that volunteers have the supplies and equipment necessary to meet the needs of the children at each service.

Participate in volunteer development and recognition opportunities.

Must be available to work Sunday's at Clinton Township Campus.

Traverse City Campus Director

Campus: Traverse City

A champion for a campus in a specific community. The “Go-to” person who will lead, encourage, communicate, coordinate and problem solve on issues relating to the Kensington brand. The primary mission is to help create a place where visitors move from “guests” to becoming part of our community. Work in complete unity and synergy with the campus lead pastor and campus leaders. Work interdependently with other campus directors. A true keeper of the DNA of Kensington. Execute the vision that comes from the Campus Lead Pastor and Advisory Team. 

CHARACTER: Has a clear call of God to lead the people of their campus community to Jesus Christ. Demonstrate the qualities of a follower of Jesus Christ, with a passion to love God, live in authentic community with those in the body of Christ, and extend the love of God to those seeking him. Show a strong commitment to living out Kensington’s values and beliefs in their Christian life. RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Under the direction of the campus lead pastor; lead teams that will create a warm, welcoming and energetic atmosphere that is contagious through every square foot of Kensington. 

 Coordinate and communicate between various Kensington ministries and departments. Anticipate problems and opportunities that will improve the overall experience of our visitors. 

 Serve as point person during service times to provide answers and solutions for staff, volunteers and guests.

 Communicate to the congregation important issues and announcements.

 Big event planning and coordination i.e. serving fairs, anniversary and holiday services.

 Develop long term campus strategies and master planning under the direction of the campus lead pastor and advisory team.

 Stay in sync with the campus lead pastor, campus service director, small group leader, children's ministry leader and student ministry leader by keeping a pulse on the campus vibe, momentum, energy and spiritual growth. A keeper of the vision ensuring that we stay on mission.

 Assist the campus lead pastor with leading weekly team meetings.

 Manage and coordinate the campus budget under the direction of the campus lead pastor.

Intern Director

This person is responsible for the development of an internship program that educates, equips, and empowers emerging leaders of the next generation to be kingdom builders in their various spheres of influence.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Troy Cafe Shift Manager

Campus: Troy

The Shift Manager handle the daily details of Café management for regular service times (Midweek, Saturday & Sunday), as well as weekend Lobby Coffee stations. This person will be responsible for leadership of volunteers on the service shifts they work. This person has strong attention to detail regarding the operation of Cafe, which includes management of supplies, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.  This person adds the tactical follow through to the vision of the Chubby’s Director.

 QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High school, some college preferred. Experience: Coffee or restaurant background strongly preferred. Working knowledge of coffee shop operations helpful. Requirements: Affirmation of the mission, values and beliefs of Kensington.

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Ensure smooth running operations of café at the times, services, special events and staff hours that are deemed critical by the Chubby’s Director. Meet with the Chubby’s Director to ensure that the director is kept informed of all operational issues affecting coffee operations.

 Lead Café and Lobby Volunteer Teams during service hours.

 Ensure stock requirements are maintained. Keep the café stocked for open hours of service. Keep the café, kitchen and storage area inspection-ready at all times. Ensure all retail offerings are available and work with Director to maintain inventory levels.

 Following the lead of the Chubby’s Director, help train volunteers on new products and systems, support volunteer recruitment, volunteer scheduling, volunteer communication and discipleship. Keep machines running effectively, alerting Director when issues arise.

 Be trained and able to process the monthly credit card statement, invoicing and billing, bill paying and shopping requirements.

Hope Water Project Administrator

Campus: All

Provide general administration and project management support to the Hope Water Project (HWP) initiative.

  • Education: Bachelor Degree in Business or Management preferred, or related experience.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of project management or general administration.
  • Membership at Kensington Community Church or in process.  Affirmation of mission, values and beliefs of Kensington Community Church.

 RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 1.  Oversee and assure accuracy of team member registration.

 2.  Manage all aspects of merchandise (Team jerseys, incentives, etc.) ordering, packing and delivery.

 3.  Lead the organization and execution of HWP events including Family Day, Kids Run, Marathon Expo, and Race Weekend.

 4.  Develop, plan, and execute training seminars for team members.

 5.  Provide administrative support to the Finance and Donor Development Departments as needed.

 6.  Provide administrative support for the HWP Kick-Off Party and Pep Rally.

Preschool Teacher

Campus: Troy

Under the direction of the Preschool Director, develop, design, direct, and support Kensington Kids weekday Preschool Programs.

 Education:   College degree in an early childhood related field required. Certified in infant, child, and adult CPR and first aid

 Experience:  Teaching preschool or elementary age children with a proven Biblical knowledge and ability to present Biblical truths at child and adult levels.

 Plan, prepare and teach lessons in Weekday preschool classes, as assigned. Organize the classroom environment, to meet the needs of the students.  Provide weekly written communication to parents; use appropriate assessment to track progress of each child; keep Kensington Kids director informed of discipline, health, safety and payment issues as they arise.

Train and oversee, spiritually care, disciple, exhort, and encourage classroom aide, to ensure commitment to the mission, vision and values of Kensington Kids, and of the Kensington Community Church Preschool; understand and adhere to policies and procedures of KC Preschool. Model punctuality and attendance to other Preschool employees. Support and maintain teamwork with all preschool team members.

Assist Director in the planning of fieldtrips, class parties, and family events, ensuring that all such events support curriculum and vision and values for the KC Preschool.  Assist Director in planning and attend all Preschool Open Houses as scheduled, as well as any other community events which will promote a positive image and success of KC Preschool.

Effectively promote the KC Preschool program in church and community. Interface with all KCC and Kensington Kids teams as required. Keep parents and KCC staff updated as to developments and progress of preschool program.

Attend monthly meetings with classroom aide and Director.  Attend one-on-one with Preschool Director and KCC all-staffs.

Troy Campus Discipleship Director

Campus: Troy

This position is designed to create, develop and maintain a broad array of opportunities for spiritual growth at Kensington – we call them next steps or our Jump In strategy. The role is also responsible for the recruitment, training, development and deployment of leaders at every level. This is accomplished collaboratively with our local campus leadership and central discipleship team. Success will be measured in the spiritual development of attenders as well as the deployment of leaders – people who lead other people.  

Character:  Demonstrate the qualities of a follower of Jesus Christ in accordance with the doctrine and practices of Kensington Church. Show a strong commitment to the mission statement and seven core values of Kensington.

Qualifications: 

  • Education – undergraduate degree preferred.
  • Experience – three years of leading or coaching small groups or ministry teams in a local church or para-church organization. Proven ability to recruit, train, and deploy leaders. Has demonstrated a strong ability to communicate truth and grace in both one-on-one relationships and larger groups.  Have a natural strength and ability to network across the entire organization while promoting a sense of good will and well-being. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Work with campus leadership, central discipleship team, and cross-campus discipleship directors to create, execute and maintain next step strategies.  These include, but are not limited to Discovering Kensington, Alpha, Small Groups, Bible Basics along with groups and programs that fall into unique demographic areas – Men, Women, Singles, etc.  Ensure all Kensington Groups are rooted in our central mission and values.
  • Seek out, train and coach leaders for Small Groups, Alpha course, Midsize Men’s and Women’s groups, FPU, and other next step opportunities created at the campus level or church-wide.
  • Be available and accessible on the weekend to meet with leaders, providing regular encouragement and support. In addition, act as Connector for those interested at the campus who want to take a next step in their spiritual growth.
  • Assist in keeping our database and website up-to-date with regards to groups, classes, and next step events of all kinds.
  • Take on a specific focus area within the cross-campus Discipleship Director team in order to share the load of executing on the team’s church-wide needs.

Troy Campus Kids Club Coordinator

Campus: Troy

Under the direction of the Kensington Kids Troy Early Childhood Director develop and implement Kensington Kids weekday Kids Club program which ministers to the children of Women’s Ministry programs.

Demonstrate the qualities of a follower of Jesus Christ, with a passion to love God, love others, link arms with those in the body of Christ, and live an open-handed life dedicated to Him.

Education:   Undergraduate degree preferred, especially in the areas of education and child development.

Experience:  School administration or teaching with an awareness of state childcare regulations and requirements; a proven Biblical knowledge and ability to present Biblical truths at child and adult levels.

Requirements:  Affirmation of the mission, values and beliefs of Kensington. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Teach, and/or recruit and train team to teach, in Large Group. Ensure curriculum activities are implemented in two year old, three year old, and pre-k classrooms.
  • Identify, train, develop and coach a team of room leaders who are committed to the mission, vision and values of Kensington Kids.  Regularly observe room caregivers implementing the curriculum.
  • Maintain Kids Club budget. Purchase supplies as necessary.
  • Attend regular team meetings, one-on-one with Early Childhood Director, Kensington Kids all-staff, and KCC all-staffs.

Kensington Staff Childcare Provider

Campus: Troy

We are looking for people who love Jesus and have a desire to serve children.  These positions would be caring for the children of our Kensington Kid Care ministry (Birth to pre-K)

Availability Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday between the hours of 8:30-4:30.

Experience with child care centers a plus. Basic knowledge of feeding, diapering, and leading children’s activities. Affirmation of Kensington’s mission, vision and values is a must.

Strengths: conflict resolution between children, positive outlook, reliable, able to multi task and work in a fast paced environment. We value reliability and responsibility.

Willingness to get CPR certification, current certification a plus.

Duties: To arrive on time and complete all scheduled shifts. To discipline according to our discipline policy. To provide our children with great care and attention at all times. To perform and record diaper changes and feedings in a timely manner. To show love and respect to all of our children.

Troy Facilities Coordinator

Campus: Troy

Keep the building in clean and orderly condition.  Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, deep cleaning of bathrooms, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.  Set up meeting rooms with tables and chairs which includes moving heavy furniture.  Duties may include tending to HVAC, performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of need for repairs, and cleaning snow or debris from walkways.  Duties may also include leading and directing workers assigned to the Facilities Department.  Must have and maintain a valid Michigan driver’s license. Maintain good working relationship and attitude with co-workers, staff, volunteers and guests. Must have flexibility and be available to work nights and weekends.
Education: Associates degree preferred or high school diploma. Experience/Expectations:  General knowledge of building custodian/housekeeping work and related equipment; interpersonal skills; oral and written communication skills; ability to operate, care for and perform minor maintenance on tools and equipment used in daily work; some ability in simple record keeping.
