Welcome to Kensington Brazilian campus. Our dream is that this community would be a safe port for the Brazilians in Michigan. This is a place for you to develop a relationship with Jesus, experience Family in USA, and connect into our Brazilian Community. We believe that we should never forget where we are from, and we where we are. We believe strongly that each person is precious to God and that He has a desire for everyone to know who they are, whose they are and the purpose of their life. We look forward to meeting you and partnering with you on this spiritual journey. If you have any questions at all please don’t hesitate to reach out.

    Your Family On Friday Nights

    Time: 7:00 – 9:00 PM
    Kensington Troy 2nd floor

Friday night is the family night. Everyone who attends our meetings have the chance to go deep in the word through our Bible studies; also, we strengthen the relationship between our people. Before and after the meetings, we have a get-together, bringing a little of Brazil in our food and the warm environment, which is the main characteristic of our culture. We have classes from nursery to High school. It is a meeting for the entire family. We hope to see you there.

It’s a different sort of fall, but we’re committed to your kids and providing a weekly place to connect. A one-time registration is necessary to join us – sign up now at kensingtonchurch.org/fallregistration.

    WOMEN

    marriage

If you are a Brazilian woman and are interested in forming new friendships, studying the bible and having a prayer friend: You will find all this and more at BCC Women!

We started meeting in 2001 with the goal of not only spending time together this week, but also studying the bible and praying for each other, for our families and friends. We do not talk about religion, nor do we discuss issues that are controversial and may bring about nuisance or unnecessary religious discussions. Therefore, we chose the study of the bible.

Since then, each week we have felt closer to each other, and with that, we have overcome loneliness, discouragement and better bear the longing for our “beloved homeland Brazil”. We have increasingly known the unconditional love of God the Father, feeling the peace of Jesus the Son. We have grown together in the knowledge of human relationship and the Word. And we give all honor, all glory to God and His Spirit, who has taught us, with patience and affection.

And of course, like every Brazilian, we love to have our morning coffee (Brazilian) together and in the end we snack our food and Brazilian delicacies, we always chat until we get tired!

We have also helped the Nehemiah Project – which supports the Refuge Orphanage in Sorocaba, São Paulo – by selling invitations, cooking and decorating the project’s fund raisers.

We also have many plans, such as: helping social work in the region, conducting tours, excursions and retreats for women.

If you are a Brazilian woman, you are interested in learning more about the bible, having friends who pray for and with you, and also meeting Brazilian girls to form new friendships: Come join our meetings and follow our facebook page.

If you have any questions, need emotional, spiritual support, or whatever, contact me, or small group leaders.
God bless you and all your family!

    MEN

    brazil-men

A meeting place between brothers, study God’s word and create new friendships! Come and join this group of Brazilian brothers in Michigan.

If you are Brazilian, live in the Detroit area and are looking for a place to contact other Brazilians, you are our guest for our monthly meetings!

Living in a foreign nation with different language, different culture and away from friends and family is not easy. God has a perfect plan in everything He does, but these plans are not always clear to us. Because we are far from relatives and friends we are subject to insecurities, uncertainties and moments of sadness.

BCC Men exists so that Brazilians in the Detroit area have the opportunity to exchange experiences, learn from each other, and together understand God’s will for our lives.

In our monthly meetings we have the opportunity to study the Bible, pray for each other, receive support from friends and brothers in Christ.

    You are our guest!

    Elementary years

In the years of new discovery, our group offers curious children ages 6 to 10, moments of real discovery that the Bible can offer. Children are exposed to Bible stories as well as games based on the stories studied. It would be a pleasure to meet your family!

    Congregational Vote - Latest News!

    Dear Kensington,

Yesterday was the Special Meeting vote to affirm our Senior Pastor candidate, which took place at all campuses during all services. If you were there or joined us online, thank you for taking part to vote on our candidate, Brian Mowrey, as our new Senior Pastor. Because of such a strong, positive turnout, members and the congregation have confirmed Brian as our new Senior Pastor with nearly 99% voting yes. Brian has said yes, and the Mowreys are coming to be part of the Kensington family!

We all know this has been a long journey, requiring much patience and trust. Your continued commitment to Kensington and your willingness to lean into this process with us is what helped get us here today. With such a strong positive vote for Brian’s leadership, there is no doubt that we are ready to be led into what God has for us in the years ahead.

The next few months will be a time of transition and we ask that you continue to pray for Brian, Becca and the girls as their adventure is just beginning with us; also pray as they are concluding a chapter of their life with Walnut Hill. While this transition over the next few months will mean that Brian is back and forth between Kensington and Connecticut, Brian will be actively engaged with all that is happening at Kensington and will be relocated and in place with us by the end of summer.

Brian wanted to share with all of you a quick word of thanks for your trust in his leadership of Kensington. Watch here

Thank you, God, for your provision. It’s just beginning. Immeasurably More!!

    Grace and Peace,

    Craig A. Mayes

    Counselors Are Needed After Tragedy

“The aftermath of the Oxford shooting tragedy will undoubtedly result in traumatic symptoms and experiences across our communities for quite some time. Healing the brain through evidence-based therapies is absolutely possible with clinical guidance. There is a valuable village of Trauma Therapists with collective resources standing by for Oxford, for both direct and secondary survivors to engage in therapy. Until then, we honorably hold a sacred space, as students, families, staff and school partners continue to mourn.” -Laura Azoni, LMSW, Founder of Sanctuary Services

    Orion Campus

We believe that unity at this time is more important than ever. Several churches in the area are partnering together to offer space for students to begin the process of healing.

We will have several grief and trauma specialists on site this Sunday evening at our Orion Campus (4640 S Lapeer Rd Lake Orion, MI 48359) from 5-6:30pm and will have a night of prayer, worship and an opportunity for students to process with each other.

This Sunday at 3:30 pm as a community we want to gather, pray and mourn together. We are all looking for answers and wondering why tragedy happens but we can find hope and peace in Jesus.

    Financial Peace University (FPU)

Financial Peace University (FPU) is a catalyst to help people live in financial freedom and enable them to have a posture of openhandedness. We have witnessed numerous Kensington families experience life change as a result of applying Biblical truths to their personal finances. The real blessing is seeing people create lives of margin that allow them to hear and respond to the Lord’s calling on their lives.

Please email discipleship@kensingtonchurch.org with any questions.

    Bible Basics

Whether you are brand new to the Bible or have been reading it for decades, Bible Basics is a course that will help you understand the overall flow of the Bible. Over the course of several weeks, learn how the Bible came from the original writers to the English versions we have today. We’ll look at the big-picture story of the Bible and how all the individual books add to the whole. We’ll even learn a little about the history of the Jewish nation. But most of all, we’ll grow in our awe of the amazing author of this amazing book!

Over ten-weeks you will explore and discover while listening to weekly topics, participating in table discussion, and developing community. Alpha courses meeting in-person gather around a meal.
