Quarterlife

Young adults getting together for socializing, targeted teaching and transformation. One day it's throwing a party, the next it's visiting a prison or painting a house.

LCC What? Groups of 15-40 people, 18-25 years old, meeting in a home. Every week they eat, study and organize mission trips together. There is nothing small about these groups.

Local College Communities

Quarterlife LCC's are groups of college age students who simply want to learn more about Jesus by doing something, and doing it together. Every week they eat, study and organize mission trips together. There is nothing small about these groups.

We're putting the church community into homes and bars around the area. Each LCC has a leader, a region, and the same mission that quarterlife has always held - turning those who believe God is irrelevant into fully devoted followers of Christ.

LCCs consist of 15 to 40 students who meet at a location once a week for three things: a meal (LCC contribute by bringing the food), a short message from the leader, and then small groups to discuss the message and put it into practice.

Once the number hits 40, the LCC splits, and about half will leave and start a new group in a new place, to bring more people into the mission. Please call or email the contact person before showing up. Find a location.

Outreach. Quarterlife is going global. Along with our national trips, we are offering opportunities to see what Kensington is doing around the world.

Short-Term Trips

For our generation, the whole world feels like our own backyard. We love to explore brand new environments, meet new people, and help build and rebuild the broken communities around us, from individuals in need to actual cities. Whether you want to go to Africa, Israel or ride around Detroit on bicycles serving the community, do it together, and don't wait.

Each high school or college student will be assigned (as CIA) to either a camper with special needs or a behind the scenes service job (as Barnstormer) in camp. The CIA will become a "parent" for a week; changing, bathing, feeding and loving their camper. The Barnstormer spends nearly every minute making sure the camp is running whether it is serving food or cleaning. Camp is filled with tons of activities, great parties and fun filled meals. It's non-stop and fulfilling!

In 2009, the big, weekly service is OUT. Groups of 15-40 students meeting in a home to eat, study and go out on a mission in life together is IN. They're called Local College Communities (LCCs), and they're changing the face of Quarterlife and how it operates. We don't just come to church anymore; we get to be the Church. For details and to join a group, visit our quarterlife students page.
