Weekend Services

The time is filled with fantastic food, out-of-this-world games, and relevant messages that students can apply to every corner of their life. They'll also be a time for small groups that are gender & age specific designed to connect and grow students. Breakaway meets for their own service at the following locations & times:

- Clinton Twp - Sundays @ 10:30am & 12pm in Room 500 @ JAPAC
- Birmingham - Sundays @ 9am & 10:30am in room B9 @ Groves
- Orion - Sundays @ 9:00am & 10:30am & 12pm in the Atrium @ LOHS
- Orlando - Sundays @ 9:30am in the Chorus Room by the north courtyard (room 825)
Jams
Jams are an amazing opportunity for students to invite their friends and experience a totally unique event like nothing else in the Metro area. Jams are all about intense fun, high energy activity, laughter, and great times with friends. This is a place students want to invite everyone from their school to attend. Jams usually take place every few months and happen on a weekend night.
Campus Events
Every so often we get students together in their own area to go and have a blast doing the things that are cool and fun right in their own backyard. Whether it is bowling, laser tag, movie nights, barbecues or sports, these events are a great chance to get together, have a blast and grow with God.
Retreats
These life-changing events are some of the most memorable for all students and leaders involved. We offer high-impact activities, teaching and worship. Students grow closer as a small group and with their small group leaders. Retreats are also an ideal place for students to invite friends to participate who otherwise may not be attending church.
Service Projects
We believe that life change happens when we reach out to others. We are committed to giving students tons of great opportunities to reach out and impact their community - whether it's raking lawns, shoveling snow, cleaning the sides of streets or collecting food, we want to make Detroit and the Metro area a better place, filled with love for God and people.
Outreach Trips
Each summer, Breakaway takes teams on week-long short-term trips within the United States. Students have action-packed days helping communities by playing with daycare children, visiting senior centers and participating in painting or cleanup projects. Students learn to work together and grow in their faith through daily devotions, worship and messages.
