It's happening. The God-sized vision to launch twelve area campuses and five national campuses by the year 2020 is underway. By opening our fourth new campus in five years, Kensington is expanding into Lake Orion, Clarkston, Auburn Hills, Oxford and beyond.
The newest place to enjoy the Kensington experience will open on January 11, 2009 at the beautiful Lake Orion High School. This campus features a wonderful 850-seat auditorium, unlimited parking, great spaces for kid's programs, and a huge community gathering area topped with a gorgeous atrium.
Lake Orion will relieve crowding at our packed-out Rochester campus and open up seats at optimal times at both locations. Which means your un-churched friends and neighbors can find empty seats and easy parking when you invite them. It also means hundreds of new volunteer opportunities opening up. Which is the best way to get potential leaders off the bench and onto the playing field!
Every day, people ask us to recommend "a church like Kensington" for friends and family who live where none exist. That's frustrating. So our vision is to keep multiplying until everyone in the Detroit area has a chance to hear about God in a way that's relevant, culturally sensitive... and close by.
